Vision

A working world where traceability replaces conflict: clear tasks, clean processes, results that speak for themselves — and every individual's privacy stays untouched.

Most friction between people, teams and departments is not about character — it is about information: who did what, when, where, and what is the current state? Where that question answers itself, the argument about it disappears. And it must never come at the expense of the people doing the work: traceable is the process, not the person.

Mission

We simplify everyday capture work: one configurable profile replaces rigid single-purpose apps, capture happens right where the work is, and every result is traceable. The app guides you through every step — no expert knowledge, no training, for young and old alike. We collect no data about people and sell no data to cover our costs — continuous development is funded by a fair subscription with no buy-in. We build on open standards and clear interfaces, and we are grateful for suggestions and criticism alike.

The five values

1. Simplicity. Tools have to adapt to the work, not the other way around. One profile describes the process — the same app then serves the forklift fleet and the fire-extinguisher round, with no new software and no release cycle. And the app leads: every step says what to do next, so nobody needs expert knowledge or a training course to capture. If you can fill in a form, you can use Hecate — at twenty and at sixty.
2. Traceability. Every capture carries place, time and profile. What is documented does not have to be argued about — that takes conflict out of teams and departments before it starts.
3. Privacy. We respect the individuality of every person. Hecate collects no data about people: no accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no passing data on — everything flows only to the broker you control yourself. Privacy is not a feature here; it is a boundary.
4. Fairness. A fair offer you can compare: a subscription with its price stated openly, no buy-in, no minimum term — cancel any time without losing your tool or your data. "Comparable" is the actual promise here: anyone who wants to do the maths should be able to, and we would rather be compared than make comparing hard. Continuous improvement needs continuous means, and a subscription is the only honest way to fund it — while the free tier stays a real product.
5. Openness. MQTT as transport, a self-describing data format, clear interfaces: what Hecate captures belongs to you and is readable by any downstream system. We welcome open standards — and suggestions and criticism just as much.

What we deliberately do not promise

No "AI-powered revolution", no "platform for everything". Hecate promises a clean, traceable capture flow — and keeps its promises small enough to keep. That, too, is fairness.
